AUSTIDC's National Event: MINDSPARKS'23

“ONE BANK presents MINDSPARKS 23 : An Inter University tech- Biz Competition”, the biggest Tech-Biz event, was held at the Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), organized by AUST Innovation & Design Club (AUSTIDC) with the goal to unify the talented minds of the country from diverse engineering and business departments through 9 exciting segments on the 29th and 30th July 2023 collaborating with CELESTA, IIT, PATNA. The last three editions of ‘MindSparks’ were arranged with the association with IIT Roorkee, India and had a blast throughout the country. This time with new segments and exciting opportunities MindSparks had so much more. AUSTIDC has been arranging a huge number of workshops, sessions, and seminars with Inter-Competitions throughout the year to groom the students and MindSparks 23 was the biggest platform to flourish the technical skills and knowledge.

This grand national event comprised 9 segments with 1200 participants from 47 universities and 8 colleges with prize money of over 3,00,000/– (Three Lac) BDT. The two-day-long event was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Omar Farrok , the honorable President of AUSTIDC with over 1200 tech lovers and business maestros across the country. This fiesta included almost all the fields of engineering and business throughout its 9 segments- Robo Soccer, Project Showcasing , Techno CAD, Business Case, Truss Challenge, LFR , Ad Making, VLSI Hackathon and Gaming, an exciting addition to the event, which was the first of its kind in our University.

Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman, the Pro-Vice Chancellor, delivering an enlightening speech as the chair of the Prize Giving Ceremony.

The two-day-long event ended with a grand prize-giving ceremony having our chair of the event Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman , Pro Vice-Chancellor. Our Chief Guest was Munzur Mofiz who is the managing director of One Bank Limited. Our Special Guests were Prof. Dr. Mustafizur Rahman , Treasurer , Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology । Enayetur Rahman , CEO of ULKASEMI Private Limited । Ariful Hasan Opu , President , Bangladesh Innovation Forum । DR. Md. Aktharul Alam , head of Sales and Marketing , ACI Godrej Agrovet Private Limited । Prof . Dr. Muhammad Saiful Islam Mallik ,Proctor and Prof. Dr. Md. Meganur Rahman , Advisor of Student’s Welfare.

The prize was handed over to the champion and runner-up teams for their outstanding performance in each segment for their talent, thinking, and technical skills. The participants were also awarded Certificates, Goodies, Foods, and Merchandise. For the first time , AUST IDC arranged to encourage Junior executive as “ The Best Junior Executive ‘’ by giving award through their dedication and activities.

Professor Dr. Meganur Rahman, Advisor of Students’ Welfare, delivering an insightful speech at the onset of the Prize Giving Ceremony. He extended his heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Md. Abdus Shakur Siam, the Vice President of AUSTIDC, and Nure Arfi, the General Secretary of AUSTIDC, for their significant contributions in ensuring the success of this event.
