IDC Story
The history of AUSTIDC is a short one but filled with exciting maneuvers. Students looking to learn and share ideas in an open platform was unheard of at a time in AUST. But a group of unyielding students from the EEE Department came up with the idea of forming a club where enthusiasts will gather and share their creativity. Our first GS, Ridwanur Rahman was the first to pitch in the idea of bringing innovative minds together. He, along with Diptungshu Mazumder Ratul- our first VP, K. H. Shafin, Naseeb Rahman and Md. Mahmudul Hassan Sourav were the founding members. The founding members along with Ishtiaque Rahman Sir(Assistant Professor of AUST EEE, Treasurer of AUSTIDC) took the initiative in the Spring 2017 session, of forming the biggest club ever in AUST.
AUST IDC has been organizing its flagship event called ‘𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀’ since 2019, keeping “Ideation into Existence” into the tagline. MindSparks has become the largest annual Tech-Fest at Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology (AUST), which also comes with a 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴-𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆, 𝗜𝗜𝗧 – 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗲, 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮. AUST IDC has always been welcoming to invite students to showcase their innovative ideas, soft skills, technical aptitudes & knowledge and guide them under supervision of proper mentors. The vast vision of this club is to create a common ground of all departments’ students and let their mighty brains collide. Often the club is appreciated by the phrase: “𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀”. AUST IDC has an Official Discord Server to share knowledge by following one-to-one & one-to-many process. Our members mostly focus on Computer Programming, Web Development, Automobiles, Mechanics, Architectural Design, Circuit Design, Civil Drawing, CAD Design, Innovative Business Idea, Robotics, Textile Technology, Game Development, and Graphic Arts.

Our Website Launching Ceremony
On the 19th of December 2021, AUST Innovation and Design Club made history by officially launching their website alongside the prestigious Prize Giving Ceremony of CogniBat 21. Since 2017, AUST IDC has successfully hosted over 80 events, including technical workshops, skill development training programs, informative seminars, intra-AUST student contests, and inter-university/international competitions, amassing a community of over 5000 dedicated club members.
These activities, workshops, programs, and upcoming events were showcased on our website, providing visitors and collaborators with access and insights into everything related to AUST IDC. Our website serves as a significant platform for networking, connecting with our esteemed alumni holding reputable positions across the country, and reaching out to current committee members for technical assistance.

Sumaiya Tabassum
Sumaiya Tabassum, our former Vice President during the fall of 2020, initiated the website launch during the concluding prize-giving ceremony of our intra-event tech competition, Cognibot. Her pivotal role was instrumental in making this significant event possible.
Abdus Shakur Siam
In a remarkable display of innovation and collaboration, Abdus Shakur Siam, our former Vice President (Fall-22), was the mastermind behind the design and development of the AUSTIDC website on the WordPress platform. The website received an official inauguration by our esteemed Vice-Chancellor in a splendid ceremony, signifying the dawn of a new era in technological excellence.
